Last weekend marked a remarkable milestone: the 95th birthday of the distinguished Russian artist Vladimir Andreenkov. His life and work stand as a testament to resilience, innovation, and dedication to art.

Just before the pandemic, I had the rare privilege of organizing an exhibition that brought Andreenkov’s works into dialogue with those of the renowned Swiss artist Richard Paul Lohse. The venue was the State Museum of Architecture in Moscow, a place where history, space, and creative vision met in harmony.

The encounter between these two artists, so different in background, yet so close in their sensitivity to form, rhythm, and constructivist thinking, remains vivid in my memory. It was not simply an exhibition, but a true conversation across cultures and generations.

An article about this exhibition was later published in the Russian magazine The World of Museum, capturing both the spirit of the works and the resonance of their dialogue.

Looking to the present, I am delighted to draw your attention to Richard Paul Lohse’s upcoming solo exhibition at the Museum in Lugano (MASI), opening on September 7th. This show promises to further explore his unique vision, and I warmly invite you to discover it, whether through the links below or, even better, by visiting in person.
